Panel Republicans to request delay in Kagan vote
By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON (AP) - Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee are expected to request a one-week delay before a panel vote on Elena Kagan, President Barack Obama's nominee for the Supreme Court. Judiciary Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., has said he would grant such a request.
